The Freedom Project West Cumbria

I’m so excited to finally share this project I've been working on this year for The Freedom Project.

The Freedom Project are an organisation based in West Cumbria offering free, long-term, community-based support for those affected by domestic and sexual abuse. The same three women who founded the project 22 years ago still run this irreplaceable charity, alongside a highly motivated support and counselling team. In West Cumbria, rates of domestic abuse are five per cent above the national average and referrals to their service are ever increasing. Over the years, The Freedom Project has supported over 10,000 individuals.

The organisation needed a complete creative overhaul. I created the branding, illustration, storyboards and print design, but also assembled a super team of Cumbrian creatives to help work on this project as well.

Rebecca Watson and Sean Corrigan worked on the new website, and Jessica Thompson-Gray brought the animated video to life along with voice artist Lisa Blackwell.

It was such a brilliant opportunity to work with an amazing local organisation who provide vital services and support in West Cumbria, along with other local fantastic creatives.
