After creating the branding for Fellpack’s first restaurant venture back in 2016 (see the project here), I was asked to create the branding and design for their brand new, sister restaurant in Keswick- The Round. It was great to work with the Fellpack team again and produce new ideas, design and illustration work for their exciting new venue. Including their branding, signage, menu design, and also a giant Fells & Fails board game (their own take on Snakes & Ladders) based on the Bob Graham Round for people to play over a few drinks or a burger or two.
Fellpack’s second restaurant is inspired by the the Bob Graham Round, a legendary Cumbrian fell running challenge not for the faint of heart. Involving 42 peaks, over 72 gruelling miles and 28,000 feet of ascent, all within 24 hours, with the start and finish points just a stone’s throw outside The Round’s doors in the centre of Keswick.
The Round is about celebrating any Rounds people maybe embarking on their trips to Keswick and The Lakes, be it the Bob Graham Round itself, a round of Derwent Water, or a round of the nearby shops.
Inside The Round you can find influences from the Bob Graham Round everywhere- from the decor, to the burger names themselves. Dare you take on Pike O' Stickle, or maybe you fancy tackling Great Gobble? (The classic BGR is my personal fav, don’t forget The Round’s house sauce too!)
